Welcome to the official website of the Mississippi Legislative Black Caucus. On behalf of our fifty-three caucus members within the House of Representatives and Senate, we invite you to browse our website to review our legislative policy, stay informed about our legislative priorities, and receive legislative updates. We champion issues that impact all Mississippians, especially those of color, those in rural communities and those who are disadvantaged. We promote equitability, inclusion, and progress by advocating for economic empowerment, criminal justice reform, job creation, educational advancement, voting rights, business development, improvements in infrastructure, and access to affordable healthcare.
As chairman of the Mississippi Legislative Black Caucus, it is my honor and privilege to serve within an organization dedicated to improving the quality of life for citizens throughout our state. I commit to working in an assertive and unified manner with our membership to ensure that our caucus continues to not only serve as a positive catalyst for real change, but also enhance the social, cultural, and political fabric within our communities. Working collectively to achieve our goals, we can achieve sustainable growth and development within our districts.
